Chairmans Message - To all members & staff

When Covid19 hit the country in March and we were instructed to close our doors it was not known at this stage what impact this would have on our lives and how long this would last.

Two months down the road and following government interventions/updates there is no sign of improvements and no sign of a "plan" to re-open. I have no doubt the leisure industry will have to wait and be patient and that includes our game of bowls, you can be assured we will be phased in but there will not be any immediate resumption.

The highest priority is our Health & Well-being. We must continue to respect distancing and not be lulled into a false sense of security. Hopefully we can all stay active and fit at this difficult time.

I encourage members to keep an eye out for each other, especially those who live on their own. Should you require any assistance please don't hesitate to contact the office and leave a message.

Our employees are furloughed but we all have a role to play to ensure the future of our club. I am grateful to all the staff for their input and support currently.

The club awaits "guidance" from the government and our governing body. We must make sure that nobody is put at any unnecessary risk.

Like everyone I look forward to the day when we can return to some form of normality. Stay safe and I hope to see you all back on the green soon.

Please note that as and when the time comes to return there will be a need for hygiene protocols.

Best Wishes

Dave Kilner
